Manifesto
Take the best. Leave the rest.
We're not asking you to throw your phone in the ocean. Technology is a tool. It gives us work, culture and access. But the infinite scroll was built to keep your thumb moving and your mind still.
This is about pushing back, so tech serves us and doesn't control us.
Get your dopamine from action, not scrolling.
Read Plato, not other people's problems.
The irony
Yes, we're on social.
We talk about logging off on the very apps built to keep you on. We know.
Social has one true strength: it unites people. It finds your people, sparks movements and connects minds across oceans. Connection was never the problem. Mindless consumption is.
So use it for what it does best. Find each other, share the idea, then close the app and go live.
Field guide to analog life
A whole generation has never known life without a feed. Boredom feels like an emergency. It isn't. Boredom is where your personality begins.
- 01
Reclaim the wait
In a queue, on a tram, at the crossing, leave your hands empty. Look at the building across the street. Notice the light.
- 02
Wear a watch
Most screen time starts with checking the time. A simple watch closes the trap.
- 03
Carry a paperback
When your thumb itches, open a page. Paper sends no notifications.
- 04
Shoot with delay
Use a 35mm or disposable camera. Don't check the shot. Memory lives in the wait.
- 05
Meet at a corner
Pick a time and a place. Put the phone away and show up. Trust the plan.
- 06
Let silence sit
When the conversation pauses, let it. The next thought is usually the most honest one.
